Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a senior Production Manager to lead the Production Department for server PCBA, covering SMT, DIP, and pre-processing, and to drive end-to-end operations.

You will set production strategies, targets, and KPIs, establish Lean systems, manage a large production team, and ensure compliance with Malaysian regulations while collaborating with Quality, PMC, and Engineering to ramp up new factories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of production management experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience setting up a new factory or production line from 0 to 1 is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SMT/DIP processes and Lean/Six Sigma practices.
• Familiar with Malaysian employment regulations and OSHA requirements.
• Fluent in Chinese and English for cross-border communication.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for end-to-end operations of the Production Department (SMT, DIP, pre-processing).
• Develop production strategies and annual targets for server PCBA manufacturing with KPIs (capacity, yield, delivery, cost).
• Establish standardized production management system; implement Lean to control costs and waste.
• Build, train, and manage production team with performance management while complying with laws.
• Lead production abnormalities handling and capacity ramp-up plans for new factories; coordinate with Quality, PMC, and Engineering.
• Lead customer production-related audits and ensure IPC-A-610 Class 3 compliance and customer requirements.
• Review reports and SOPs; establish a production data traceability system; implement 8S and ESD protection.

Job description

Take overall responsibility for the end-to-end operations of the Production Department, covering SMT, DIP, and pre-processing processes. Develop production strategies and annual targets for server PCBA manufacturing, with accountability for key KPIs including capacity, yield, delivery, and cost. This is a key management position responsible for leading the factory's capacity ramp-up and establishing the entire production management system and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the end-to-end operations of the Production Department, covering SMT, DIP, and pre-processing processes
• Develop production strategies and annual targets for server PCBA manufacturing, with accountability for key KPIs including capacity, yield, delivery, and cost
• Establish a standardized production management system and implement Lean Manufacturing practices to strictly control production costs, material waste, and production efficiency
• Build, train, and manage the production team, including performance management, while ensuring compliance with Malaysia's Employment Act and Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA/OSH) requirements
• Lead the handling of production abnormalities and develop capacity ramp-up plans for new factories, while coordinating closely with key departments such as Quality, PMC, and Engineering
• Lead customer production-related audits and ensure that server PCBA production complies with IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards and customer requirements
• Review production reports and SOP documentation across the entire production process, establish a production data traceability system, and ensure the effective implementation of 8S and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection systems

About you

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant production management experience in server PCBA or other electronics manufacturing industries
• Experience in setting up a new factory or production line from 0 to 1 is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of server motherboard SMT/DIP manufacturing processes, with solid experience in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma and large-scale mass production management
• Familiar with Malaysian employment regulations and Occupational Safety and Health requirements
• Fluent in both Chinese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with local teams and customers
• Strong overall management, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
