Job summary

Toppan Security Malaysia SDN. BHD. is seeking a Data Operator to manage data for smart card production and personalization.

You will handle data entry, validation, encoding, and quality checks in a secure environment to ensure timely issuance of cards such as banking, ID, and access control cards. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of CSV/TXT/XML formats, and familiarity with privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply or 1–3 years of experience in data operations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Good understanding of CSV, TXT, XML formats and data transformation.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC standards related to smart cards (ISO/IEC 7816, EMV) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, validate, and format customer or client data files according to production requirements.
• Import and manage data within smart card personalization software and systems.
• Operate data encoding machines and related equipment to personalize smart cards.
• Ensure data accuracy and security throughout the process.
• Perform regular backups and maintain logs of processed data and production activities.
• Collaborate with IT and Production teams to troubleshoot data errors and system issues.
• Comply with data privacy standards, especially for banking or government sectors.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on personalized cards to ensure accurate encoding.
• Report discrepancies or production issues to supervisors.
• Maintain detailed records of job orders, data files, and processing outcomes.
