Toppan Security Malaysia SDN. BHD. is seeking a Data Operator to manage data for smart card production and personalization.
You will handle data entry, validation, encoding, and quality checks in a secure environment to ensure timely issuance of cards such as banking, ID, and access control cards. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of CSV/TXT/XML formats, and familiarity with privacy standards.
The Data Operator is responsible for managing and processing data for smart card production and personalization. This includes data entry, data verification, encoding, quality control, and secure handling of customer information to ensure smooth production and issuance of smart cards such as banking cards, ID cards, or access control cards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, validate, and format customer or client data files according to production requirements.
Import and manage data within smart card personalization software and systems.
Operate data encoding machines and related equipment to personalize smart cards (e.g., chip encoding, magnetic strip writing).
Ensure data accuracy and security throughout the process.
Perform regular backups and maintain logs of processed data and production activities.
Collaborate with the IT and Production teams to troubleshoot data errors and system issues.
Comply with company and industry standards for data privacy, especially in regulated sectors (banking or government)
Conduct quality assurance checks on personalized cards to ensure data is accurately encoded.
Report any discrepancies or production issues to supervisors.
Maintain detailed records of job orders, data files, and processing outcomes.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Fresh graduate are encourage to apply or 1–3 years of experience in data operations
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
Good understanding of file formats (CSV, TXT, XML) and data transformation.
Knowledge of ISO/IEC standards related to smart cards (e.g., ISO/IEC 7816, EMV) is a plus.
Ability to follow strict security and confidentiality protocols.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) and basic database systems.
Others:
Willingness to work in secure or restricted production environments.
Ability to work under tight deadlines during peak periods.
