Job description

Salary Range: RM 3,500 – RM 4,500 per month

Job Purpose:

To facilitate smooth on-site operations and bridge communication gaps between the Safety Supervisor and Mandarin-speaking personnel, while assisting with safety-related administrative and coordination tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Translation & Communication

• Act as the primary translator between the Safety Supervisor and Mandarin-speaking workers or management team to ensure clear operational alignment.
• Translate verbal instructions, briefing sessions, toolbox meetings, and general site discussions accurately.
• Assist in translating site safety documents, incident reports, safety notices, and operational procedures into Mandarin.

2. Safety & Site Coordination

• Assist the Safety Supervisor during daily site safety inspections to identify hazards and maintain compliance.
• Convey safety requirements, regulations, and hazard instructions clearly to all on-site workers.
• Provide administrative and clerical support for site documentation and safety record-keeping.

Job Requirements:

• Language Proficiency: Strong fluency in Mandarin and English/Bahasa Malaysia (both verbal and written) is required for this role, as the candidate will need to accurately translate technical safety protocols and communicate heavily with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and site workers.
• Prior experience in site coordination, translation, or construction site environments is an added advantage.
• Good communication skills and a strong eye for workplace safety details.
• Willing to be permanently based at the project site in Banting, Selangor.
