Job summary

The role covers Kuala Lumpur and upcoming Penang Mainland sites, ensuring timelines, quality and safety compliance from conception through completion.

You will supervise engineering works, manage budgets, perform inspections, and coordinate with clients and contractors while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience supervising electrical/electronic projects.
• Proficient in electrical systems, safety regs and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on-site electrical/electronic works to match specs and schedules.
• Manage timelines, budgets and resources for project completion.
• Conduct site inspections and QA checks to ensure compliance with drawings and safety rules.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and main office to resolve site issues.
• Document progress, daily reports, inventories and workforce productivity.
• Enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations on site.
• Prepare technical docs, as-built drawings and handover reports.
• Mentor site staff and junior engineers on best practices.

Recently we will explore a new place to start our new project in Penang Mainland. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing electrical and electronic engineering projects from conception through to completion. As Site Supervisor / Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing on-site operations, ensuring project timelines are met, quality standards are maintained, and all work complies with relevant regulations and safety protocols. This role is integral to our company's success, bridging the gap between project planning and field execution whilst maintaining excellence in all electrical and electronic engineering endeavours.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and coordinating on-site electrical and electronic engineering works, ensuring all activities align with project specifications and schedules
• Managing project timelines, budgets and resources to ensure efficient completion of assigned projects
• Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks to verify compliance with technical drawings, standards and safety regulations
• Liaising between clients, contractors, and the main office to ensure clear communication and resolution of site-related issues
• Monitoring and documenting project progress, including daily reports, material inventories and workforce productivity
• Ensuring all site safety protocols and environmental regulations are strictly adhered to by all personnel

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical and electronic engineering project supervision or site management
• Proven track record of successfully managing electrical and electronic engineering projects from initiation to completion
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, electronic components, wiring standards and industry best practices
• Excellent understanding of relevant safety regulations, building codes and environmental compliance standards
• Proficiency in project management software and technical documentation tools
• Outstanding organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and engage with diverse stakeholders
• Problem-solving capabilities with strong analytical and technical acumen
• Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions and challenging environments
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to different project locations as required
• Experience with CAD software and project management tools is advantageous
