Job summary

KHAI SHIAN CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. is seeking a site supervisor to oversee C&S and architectural construction/installation works in Kuala Lumpur.

You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure materials and tools are available, and maintain accurate site records to support project progress. The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with at least 1 year of site experience in retrofit or hospital/complex building projects.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering / Structure or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year working experience in Retrofit/Project in Building, Shopping complex or Hospital upgrading.
• Experience in site management and relationship with all levels.
• Contractor firm experience is an advantage.
• Able to work long hours and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out supervision and monitoring of all C&S and architectural construction/installation works.
• Supervise and control subcontractors daily work activities, ensuring materials, equipment, personnel and tools are available.
• Receive, handle and store materials according to SOP.
• Check and inspect works per Inspection and Test Plans.
• Ensure inspections and tests are performed and passed before proceeding to the next stage.
• Maintain site diary of daily activities.
• Supervise usage of plant and machineries.
• Report non-conformances to Project/Construction Manager.
• Ensure works follow client/ SO/ Consultant approved programme.
• Attend subcontractor, safety and technical meetings as required.
• Support QMS effectiveness.
• Other duties as assigned by Project/Construction Manager.

Job description

You will play an important role, including:

To carry out supervision and monitoring of all the C&S and architectural construction / installation works.

Supervise and control sub-contractors daily work activities, and ensuring material and equipment, personnel and tools are available to perform the work.

To carry out all materials / product receiving, handling & storage in accordance with the SOP.

Check and inspect works in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plans.

Ensure all necessary inspection and testing are performed and verified / passed before proceeding to the next stage of construction or installation work.

Maintain site diary to record daily activities at site.

To supervise and monitor the usage of plant & machineries.

Prompt reporting of any non-conformances to Project Manager / Construction Manager.

To ensure all the construction / installation at site shall follows / base on the approved works programme by client / SO / Consultant.

Attend sub-contractors coordination meetings, safety meetings and technical meetings as and when required.

Provide support to the Quality Management System (QMS) for its effectiveness.

Any other duties assigned by Project Manager / Construction Manager from time to time.

To succeed in this role, we will need you to have:

Candidate must possess at least a Certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering / Structure or equivalent

At least 1 years of working experience is required for this position.

Experienced in Retrofit/Project in Building, Shopping complex or Hospital upgrading

Experienced in site management and relationship with all levels.

Having experience working in contractor firm is an advantage.

Able to work long hours.

Able to work under pressure environment.

Possesses strong credibility for problem solving skill, detail-oriented and committed to work and task.
