Job summary

The role requires Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with 3–5 years of supervisory experience and a strong grasp of civil construction methods, drawings, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience supervising civil construction works.
• Knowledge of civil construction methods, reinforced concrete works and structural works.
• Ability to read construction drawings, structural drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities including earthworks, foundations, drainage, access roads, cable trenches, and building structures.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor construction progress and coordinate with Project Engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve milestones.
• Inspect works and identify defects, non-conformities, or safety issues.
• Coordinate site inspections, material deliveries, and quality control activities.
• Ensure compliance with construction methods, safety regulations, and HSE procedures.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress reports, inspection records, and work completion reports.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities on site matters.
• Support quality inspections and ensure compliance with engineering standards.

Job description

We are seeking a competent and proactive Site Supervisor (Civil) to oversee civil construction works for transmission, distribution, and substation projects. The incumbent will ensure all civil works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, applicable standards, and the Company's Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).

Key Responsibilities

ISO Integrated Management System Responsibilities

1. ISO 9001 – Quality Management

• Ensure all site construction, installation, and commissioning activities follow documented procedures, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely site records (daily reports, checklists, NCRs, inspection forms) for audit and review purposes.
• Support continuous improvement by reporting non-conformities and assisting in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Ensure all internal documentation meets company standards and ISO 9001 requirements.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

• Good knowledge of civil construction methods, reinforced concrete works, structural works, and site supervision practices.
• Ability to read construction drawings, structural drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Safety certification (e.g., OSHA or NEBOSH) is an added advantage
