Job summary

MGB Berhad in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is seeking a Civil Engineer to assist the Senior Project/Site Engineer with supervision and inspection at our high-rise residential project. The role requires hands-on site oversight and active participation in quality and safety management.

You will ensure proper handling and storage of materials, monitor subcontractors, report non-conformances to the site engineer, and prepare daily site reports while enforcing the Quality Management System and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 years of related field experience.
• Experience in high-rise residential projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect works at site.
• Ensure materials are handled, stored and protected.
• Monitor subcontractor activities on site.
• Report non-conformances to the site engineer.
• Prepare daily site reports.
• Implement Quality Management System procedures.
• Receive, inspect and verify delivered materials.
• Enforce safety measures on site.
• Ensure subcontractor materials are approved by consultants.
• Carry out additional duties as required.

• To assist the Senior Project / Site Engineer in carrying out supervision and inspection work at site.
• To ensure building materials and work done at site are properly handled, stored and protected.
• To monitor work carried out by sub-contractors at site.
• To report non-conformance in respect of workmanship and materials to site engineer
• To prepare site daily report for submission.
• To ensure that Quality Management System procedures are implemented at site.
• To receive, inspect and verify building materials delivered at site.
• To ensure safety measures are implemented at site.
• To ensure subcontractor used approve material by consultant.
• To carry out other job assignments as and when required by the immediate superior.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• Preferably Executives specializing in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experiences in the related field is required for this position.
• Experience in high-rise residential project is highly preferred
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin (added advantage)
• Willing to work at Medini, Iskandar Puteri.
