Job summary

VIEWGREEN ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD invites a seasoned Site Operations Manager to lead and oversee construction activities at our Selangor project sites. You will supervise daily site tasks, enforce safety, and ensure work meets quality standards and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities and coordinate workers, subcontractors, and vendors.

• Ensure construction works meet standards, specifications, and codes.
• Coordinate with project manager, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Lead and supervise on-site staff, provide direction, and resolve operational issues.
• Maintain records including daily logs and progress reports; communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Identify site challenges and propose solutions to keep the project on track.
• Conduct final inspections and assist with handover to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Operations Management
  Supervise the daily activities of the construction site, ensuring all tasks are being performed efficiently and according to plan.
  Coordinate the efforts of workers, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain smooth site operations.
• Safety Compliance
  Enforce all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
  Conduct regular safety inspections and safety meetings to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Quality Control
  Ensure all construction work meets the required standards, specifications, and local building codes.
  Perform regular site inspections to identify and resolve any quality or compliance issues.
• Project Coordination
  Coordinate with the project manager, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  Monitor the project schedule to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Team Leadership and Supervision
  Lead, motivate, and supervise on-site staff, including workers and subcontractors.
  Provide direction and resolve any operational issues that may arise during construction.
• Document and Report Management
  Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, safety reports, and material usage.
  Communicate daily progress reports and issues to project managers and relevant stakeholders not limited to take daily photo for work done at site.
• Problem-Solving
  Identify challenges on-site and propose solutions to ensure the project stays on track.
  Adapt to unforeseen challenges, such as delays in materials or staffing issues, to keep operations moving forward.
• Final Inspection and Handover
  Conduct final inspections and ensure all aspects of the project meet regulatory standards before handover.
  Assist in the final turnover of completed projects to clients, ensuring satisfaction and compliance with specifications.

Qualification and requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering/Mechanical & electrical.
• 5 years and above working experience in similar industries and project management.
• Effective communicator who will foster strong teamwork and able to communicate well with different levels of stakeholders, including client to sustain a good working relationship
• Organised, able to plan and self-driven to fulfil roles & responsibilities independently
• Good leadership to problem solves, direct team and delegate where needed to achieve results and project expectations
• Competent in using Microsoft excel, word, PowerPoint and other tools for proposal writing and project documentation.
