Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a capable Site Supervisor to join its infrastructure construction project team. The role is based at the project site and requires supervising daily site activities, coordinating workers and subcontractors, and ensuring work progresses as per drawings and programmes.

Travel to multiple project locations in Sarawak/Miri area and beyond may be needed. A valid driving licence and own transport are advantageous. An engineering degree is beneficial but not compulsory.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure construction, civil works, road works, drainage, earthworks, building works.
• Able to supervise workers and subcontractors on site.
• Good coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
• Possess a valid driving licence; own transport advantageous.
• Engineering degree would be an added advantage but not compulsory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at site.
• Coordinate workers, subcontractors, suppliers, machinery, and site operations.
• Ensure works are carried out according to drawings, specifications, work programme, and site instructions.
• Monitor work progress, quality of work, materials, manpower, and site productivity.
• Report site issues, delays, defects, or required actions to the project team.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress photos, site records, and other project documentation.
• Assist in planning and arranging daily work activities at site.
• Ensure site safety, housekeeping, and work discipline are properly maintained.

The successful candidate will be based at project site and will be responsible for supervising daily site activities, coordinating workers and subcontractors, monitoring work progress, and ensuring works are carried out according to project requirements.

The candidate must be willing to travel and work at different project locations, including other areas outside Miri when required.
