Job summary

Pembinaan Purcon Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to oversee day-to-day safety on our construction projects in Malaysia. You will ensure workers wear protective equipment and implement safety measures to prevent incidents.

Requirements include a minimum of 3 years in building/construction, a Yellow Book for safety supervision, a Diploma/Certificate in Occupational, Safety and Health, and a NIOSH-certified competency. Willing to work at project site Vale, Manjung Perak.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years working experience in building/construction in a similar role.
• Must possess Diploma/Certificate in Occupational, Safety and Health.
• Must possess NIOSH certified competency and be a Yellow Book holder.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day activities within a construction workplace.
• Ensures workers use protective equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Investigates accidents and addresses root causes.
• Reviews safety concerns and acts promptly to resolve them.
• Organises toolbox talks and safety trainings.
• Develops emergency procedures with management approval.
• Receives safety reports from workers and implements measures.
• Promotes safety measures to curb accidents at the site.

Job description

Supervises day-to-day activities within a particular construction workplace

Ensures that workers make use of necessary protective equipment

Investigates accidents and tackle their causes

Takes note of workers’ safety concerns and immediately acts on them

Arranges training programs on safety measures within the workplace

Develops plans for emergency procedures with the consent of the manager(s) of the workplace

Receives and acts on reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the construction site/workplace

Introduces measures that will help curb accidents within the workplace.

Conduct toolbox training and etc. relevant to safety issues

Requirement

Minimum 3 years working experience preferably from a building and construction industry in a similar position.

MUST be yellow book holder (for safety supervisor)

Willing to work at Project Site - Vale , Manjung Perak

Advantage is able to start work immediately

Possess Diploma/Certificate in Occupational, Safety and Health qualification.

Must possess relevant certified competency certificate endorsed by NIOSH.

Must be fully conversant with various government legislation that relates to safety work practices at project sites.
