Job summary

Mega Sedaya Construction is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor for Kuantan and Parit Perak to oversee day-to-day safety on our construction sites. You will ensure PPE usage and compliance with safety standards, acting as a bridge between workers and management.

The role requires recognised EH&S qualifications, DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP Yellow Book registration, and at least two years of construction safety experience. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification includes a professional certificate, diploma or higher in safety, health or environment.
• Must be a registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP and Yellow Book holder.
• At least two years’ experience in Occupational Safety & Health in the construction industry.
• Willing to travel or relocate as required.
• Excellent communication, writing, computer literacy and ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Languages required: Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

Site Safety Supervisor (Kuantan and Parit Perak)

1) Supervises day-to-day activities within a particular construction workplace

2) Ensures that workers make use of necessary protective equipment

3) Investigates accidents and tackle their causes

4) Takes note of workers’ safety concerns and immediately acts on them

5) Receives and acts on reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the construction site/workplace

6) Serves as a link between workers and top management when it comes to issues that have to do with the safety and proper organization of the workplace

7) To carry out the responsibilities of project based SSS

8) Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.

9) A registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP with Yellow Book holder

10) At least two (2) years’ experience in Occupational Safety & Health in construction Industry

11) Applicants must be willing to travel or relocate

12) Excellent communication skills, writing skills, computer literate and able to work under minimum supervision
