Job summary

HKC UNITY SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Site Safety Supervisor to oversee on-site safety during construction in Kota Tinggi, Johor. You will monitor activities, enforce PPE usage, and coordinate with project teams to meet safety standards.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years in a similar role and a Yellow Book (DOSH). Strong communication, drawing interpretation skills, and a proactive, organized approach are essential.

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Supervisor to join our team at HKC UNITY SDN BHD', a leading construction company based in Kota Tinggi, Johor. As a Site Safety Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

Coordinating and supervising construction activities on-site, including monitoring progress, managing resources and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Ensure workers wear PPE (helmet, safety shoes, harness, etc.).

Identify and rectify unsafe conditions and unsafe work practices.

Ensure workers wear PPE (helmet, safety shoes, harness, etc.).

Conduct safety induction and toolbox meetings.

Monitor subcontractors' compliance with DOSH and OSHA requirements.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.

Liaise with Project Manager, Site Engineer, and DOSH officers when required.

Maintain safety records, permits, and documentation.

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or in a similar construction management role.

Requires holding a Yellow Book. The Yellow Book is the official competency record and passport issued by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health. (DOSH)

Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials and equipment, as well as a thorough understanding of relevant safety regulations and site safety practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and motivate a team.

Good interpersonal and reporting skills.

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans and specifications.

Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.

A proven track record of delivering construction projects on time and within budget.
