Job summary

MDI Fortune is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to take responsibility for the safety and health of our employees at the data centre site in Malaysia, ensuring compliance with client, main contractor and site safety requirements.

You will conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, inspections and worker roll calls, prepare HIRARC/SWMS, and oversee proper PPE use, chemical safety and incident reporting. Bahasa Malaysia and basic English communication are required.

Qualifications

• DOSH/JKKP-recognized Site Safety Supervisor competency/registration where required.
• 1–2 years construction safety experience; data centre/cleanroom/industrial preferred.
• Experience supervising cleaners/general workers is an advantage.
• Knowledge of HIRARC, SWMS, PTW, PPE, chemical safety and incident reporting.
• Good leadership, communication and basic Microsoft Office/digital reporting skills.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the safety and health of MDI employees and ensure compliance with client, main contractor and site safety requirements.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings, safety briefings, inspections and worker roll calls.
• Prepare and maintain HIRARC, SWMS, inspection checklists, toolbox records and incident reports.
• Ensure proper PPE use and safe handling, storage and labelling of chemicals in accordance with SDS requirements.
• Inspect cleaning machines, electrical equipment, ladders, cables and other tools before use.
• Stop unsafe work immediately and report accidents, near misses, hazards and property damage.
• Lead and supervise cleaners, assign daily work zones, monitor attendance, productivity, discipline and work quality.
• Ensure cleaning activities follow approved methods, client standards and data centre protocols.
• Control equipment, chemicals, consumables and PPE, and arrange immediate rectification of quality issues.

  Scope Clarification
  The SSS is responsibleonly for MDI Fortune employees and MDI cleaning activities. The role does not cover the safety management of the entire project, other contractors or the main contractor’s workforce. However, hazards affecting MDI employees must be reported immediately.Requirements
  • Valid DOSH/JKKP-recognized Site Safety Supervisor competency/registration where required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years’ construction safety experience; data centre, cleanroom or industrial experience preferred.
  • Experience supervising cleaners/general workers is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of HIRARC, SWMS, PTW, PPE, chemical safety and incident reporting.
  • Good leadership, communication and basic Microsoft Office/digital reporting skills.
  • Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English.
  • Physically fit and willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays or extended hours.
  • Firm on safety and discipline while maintaining professional working relationships.
