Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a Site Safety Officer to monitor daily activities, conduct safety inspections, and ensure PPE usage in line with client safety rules. The role includes implementing PTW systems and leading toolbox talks to communicate hazards and controls at project sites.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid DOSH/JKKP Yellow Book and have proven site safety experience with strong communication and independent working capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid DOSH / JKKP Yellow Book (SSS).
• Relevant site safety experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety requirements and practices.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Responsible, proactive, and safety-conscious.
• Able to work independently at client/project sites.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety requirements and client safety rules.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
• Ensure workers use the correct PPE and follow safe work procedures.
• Implement Permit-to-Work (PTW) based on job requirements.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings, and communicate hazards and control measures to workers.
• Assist supervisors and workers in preparing and implementing JSA/JHA, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Safe Work Procedures.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
