Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to oversee daily safety operations on our projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the Safety Officer in implementing the site safety management system.

The role requires a valid SSS certificate recognized by DOSH, CIDB Green Card, and strong communication, organization, and the ability to work on-site and travel as needed; competitive salary based on experience.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) certificate.
• Hold a valid CIDB Green Card.
• NTSP (NIOSH Training Skills Passport) is an added advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Possess a valid driving license.
• Willing to be stationed on-site and travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety policies.
• Conduct daily site inspections and hazard identifications.
• Prepare and deliver daily toolbox talks and site safety briefings.
• Report unsafe acts, near-miss incidents, and accidents immediately.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on-site.
• Assist in incident investigations and prepare preliminary reports.
• Maintain site safety documentation and ensure it is up to date.
• Support emergency response drills and first aid coordination.
• Work closely with subcontractors and workers to raise safety awareness.
• Coordinate with Safety Officer and Project Manager on safety-related issues and improvements.

The Site Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily site safety operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and promoting a safe working environment. This role includes conducting toolbox talks, safety inspections, hazard identifications, and enforcing site safety rules. The position is key to supporting the Safety Officer in implementing the site's safety management system, especially on high-risk infrastructure or utility projects such as TNB works.
