Job summary

AME Construction Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to support the HSE Officer/Manager in implementing the HSEMS on our on-site projects in Johor. The role includes safety promotion, audits, meetings, and accident investigations within industrial and commercial developments.

You will maintain records, prepare reports, and assist with data collection to monitor site safety, while coordinating with authorities and clients as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Safety & Health is required or equivalent.
• SHO certificate from NIOSH or equivalent is required or deemed acceptable by DOSH.

Responsibilities

• Assist the HSE Officer/Manager in implementing the HSEMS on site.
• Conduct safety audits, toolbox meetings and safety training; prepare reports.
• Maintain safety records and participate in accident investigations.
• Liaise with authorities and clients on HSE matters on site.
• Collect and collate data to monitor HSE status of each site; secretary duties when needed.

What You’ll Do:

• To assist HSE Officer/Manager in implementing HSEMS system on site, specifically on the following: –
  a) safety promotion
  b) safety audit
  c) organizing HSE meetings
  d) conducting toolbox meetings and safety training
  e) preparing reports
  f) maintaining safety records
  g) conduct accident investigation
• To assist HSE Officer/Manager in carrying out investigations on all incidents and accidents and ensure that all the necessary records are properly maintained.
• To liaise with all the relevant authorities and clients on matters relating to HSE on site.
• To collect and collate data to monitor the status of HSE of each site.
• To be Secretary of Safety & Health Committee (in the absent of HSE Officer).
• To perform any other ad hoc duties that may be assigned by the Management.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or other discipline, or management plus with certificate of safety and health officer organized by NIOSH or other education institution recognized by DOSH.
• Pass all SHO Exam and waiting 3 years’ experience for SHO Registration.
• Registered with DOSH as Site Safety Supervisor
• Minimum one (1) year experience with safety and health matters.
