Job summary

Hwa Hin Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor in Malaysia to monitor and enforce workplace safety regulations, the company safety policies, and project safety requirements on construction sites. You will conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training for workers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include regular site inspections of machinery and lifting operations, reporting incidents, maintaining safety records, and coordinating with project teams and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, company safety policies, and project safety requirements.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe practices, and potential hazards, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Monitor subcontractors and workers to ensure compliance with safety procedures and requirements.
• Conduct Safety induction, toolbox meetings, safety briefings, training, campaign, and other safety awareness activities.
• Inspect machinery, equipment, tools, lifting operations, and scaffolding to ensure safe working conditions and required inspections are carried out.
• Report workplace accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions, and assist the Safety Officer (SHO) in investigations and corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain safety reports, inspection records, safety documentation, and relevant project registration documents.
• Implement safety programmes, emergency drills, housekeeping, and workplace health and environmental control activities.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and relevant authorities on safety-related matters.
• Perform any other safety-related duties or assignments as instructed by the Management.

Job description

Requirements

Must possess a valid JKKP/DOSH Yellow Book (Registered Site Safety Supervisor).

Minimum Diploma, Degree, Professional Certificate or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.

Minimum 2–5 years of working experience in the construction industry, preferably in site safety supervision.

Good knowledge of construction site safety practices, regulations and compliance requirements.

Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to enforce safety requirements effectively.

Able to work independently, take initiative and perform well under pressure.

Responsible, proactive, disciplined and committed to maintaining a safe working environment.

Willing to travel or be assigned to different project sites when required.
