Job summary

Woon Brothers Construction Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to oversee compliance with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and related regulations. You will conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and manage incident investigations.

The role requires a valid SSS competency license and fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English, with at least 2 years in construction and strong attitude toward safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in construction industry.
• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Degree or Diploma in Safety and Health or related qualification.
• Valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Competency License registered with DOSH / JKKP (Yellow book).
• Experience dealing with relevant authorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections, safety patrols, and intervention of unsafe conditions and acts.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety inductions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994 and related regulations.
• Promote safe conduct of work and ensure PPE is worn.
• Complete and review risk assessments for equipment and operations.
• Ensure accidents are reported, investigated and improved.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Job description

Conduct safety inspections, safety patrols, and intervention of unsafe conditions and unsafe acts to correct hazardous conditions in the workplace

Conduct toolbox meetings and safety induction

Ensure provisions of the act and any regulation (OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967) made thereunder are complied with

Promote safe conduct of work, ensure personal protective equipment is worn and rectify hazardous construction methods

Ensure completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations

Ensure that all accidents are reported, documented, investigated and recommended improvement actions

Implement safety activities according to the required Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) and ISO standards

Perform any other duties as and when required by the superior and/or Management

Job requirements

Minimum 2 years of work experience in construction industry

Degree or Diploma in Safety and Health or related qualification

Valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Competency License registered with DOSH / JKKP (Yellow book)

Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English

Experience dealing with relevant authorities

Good attitude and responsible characteristics

Own transport

Good work attitude and self-motivated

Proficiency in computer skills such as Microsoft Office
