Job summary

Polymer Applications Southern Sdn Bhd. is seeking a motivated Site Engineer to oversee epoxy and polyurethane flooring projects in Malaysia. You will supervise installation works, monitor quality, coordinate with clients and contractors, and manage site documentation.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with 1–2 years of site experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel is preferred, and travel to project sites is expected.

Site Engineer – Epoxy & Polyurethane Flooring

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Site Engineer to join our team in the epoxy and polyurethane flooring industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site activities, coordinating project works, monitoring quality and progress, and ensuring that flooring works are carried out according to project specifications and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspection and assessment
• Supervise epoxy and polyurethane flooring installation works
• Monitor surface preparation and application processes
• Perform quality control and quality assurance activities
• Coordinate site activities with clients, consultants, main contractors and subcontractors
• Manage materials, manpower and equipment at site
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports
• Prepare method statements, inspection requests and quality documentation
• Monitor project progress, work schedule and site productivity
• Monitor material usage and quantity
• Identify, troubleshoot and coordinate rectification of site issues
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and quality requirements
• Ensure compliance with site safety and HSE requirements
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate testing and handover activities
• Prepare daily site reports and progress updates
• Assist in project handover and completion documentation

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in site engineering, construction or related industry
• Work experience in project management will be an added advantage
• Experience in epoxy flooring, polyurethane flooring or industrial flooring will be an added advantage
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and strong interest in the flooring industry are encouraged to apply
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and AutoCAD
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and project specifications
• Strong sense of responsibility, commitment and ability to work as part of a team
• Strong awareness of the importance of time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken
• Good coordination, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Willing to travel to project sites when required
• Possess own transport and a valid driving licence
• Able to work independently and under minimal supervision
• Willing to learn and develop technical knowledge in epoxy and polyurethane flooring systems
