Job summary

TALIWORKS CORPORATION BERHAD is seeking a Site Personnel to oversee planning, execution, and handover of sections of works on site.

The role requires coordinating daily site reports, ensuring contract requirements are met, and maintaining QMS across the project. Experience ranges from junior to senior levels with corresponding education requirements.

• Plan, implement, monitor and hand over sections of the works in compliance with budget, health, quality, safety, security and environmental standards.
• Assist subordinates to prepare Site Daily Reports and other site documents accurately and concisely.
• Clarify contract details with superiors if unclear and refer queries as needed.
• Monitor and coordinate Company/Customer supplied products and material stockpiles for smooth progress.
• Review subordinates’ qualifications and assign appropriate tasks.
• Implement approved management system for working documents/drawings.
• Assist Site Agent with submissions such as work schedules, method statements, materials, calibration certificates, shop drawings.
• Ensure inspection and test plans are carried out as per Contract.
• Monitor site progress and report to Site Agent for progress reporting.
• Enforce health, safety, quality, security and environmental plans on site.
• Coordinate verification of work by sub-contractors and deliveries by suppliers for valuation.
• Propose corrective and preventive actions for Site Agent approval.
• Control resources by reviewing qualifications, ensuring efficient use of machinery and preventing waste.
• Ensure QMS activities are implemented on site.
• Perform other duties per QMS documents.

Job description

Responsibilities:

The Site Personnel is responsible for planning, implementation, progress monitoring and hand over of section/s of the Works in respect of site work complying with budgetary, health, quality, safety, security and environmental standards set by the Company and Customer.

The responsibilities of the Site Personnel shall include the following, and any other tasks that the Company shall assign to him from time to time:

Responsible to help his subordinates under his guide to prepare Site Daily Reports and other site documents accurately and concisely.

The Site Personnel shall assist his subordinates in clarifying any part of the Contract that is inadequately defined or documented. If unsure, the Site Personnel shall refer the query to his superior or the Site Agent.

Monitor and coordinate Company / Customer supplied products (whichever is applicable) and material stockpiles affecting the smooth implementation of assigned section/s of the Works.

Responsible to review qualification, experience, personality, traits, etc of subordinates and assign / empower them with appropriate tasks.

Responsible to implement approved management system for working documents / drawings for his own or subordinates’ use at point of process.

Assist the Site Agent in timely compilation, review and finalization of supporting site submissions (e.g., work schedule, Method Statement, material samples for approval, calibration certificates, shop drawing, etc).

Responsible to ensure inspection and test plans are carried out in accordance with the Contract for the assigned section/s of the Works.

Responsible for monitoring site progress of the assigned section/s of the Works and periodic reporting to his superior and provision of accurate and pertinent information to the Site Agent for his incorporation into the Progress Report.

Responsible to monitor implementation of approved health, quality, safety, security and environmental plans (whichever is applicable) for the assigned section/s of the Works.

Responsible to enforce implementation of material acceptance, storage, preservation and control of non-conforming product procedures for the assigned section/s of the Works.

Responsible to coordinate and pursue for timely site verification of work done by sub-contractors and goods delivered by suppliers for subsequent valuation of their monetary claims.

Propose and review draft corrective and preventive actions before submitting them to the Site Agent for his preparation or submission of a formal Corrective and Preventive Action Plan.

Responsible for control of resources allocated by the Company by instituting the following steps:

• a) review qualification, experience, personality, traits, etc. of subordinates and assign / empower them with appropriate tasks;
• b) ensure the proper and efficient use of machineries, equipment, tools, etc.;
• c) control wastage and advise sub-contractors and subordinates of any wasteful/inefficient practices at assigned section/s of the Works.

Ensures all QMS activities under the assigned Projects are implemented effectively at the site.

Responsible for other duties and functions stipulated in the QMS documents.

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) for junior SS position, unless candidate possesses minimum five (5) years relevant working experience.

Diploma in a course related to engineering or quantity surveying or construction or building for Assistant Site Agent position.

An undergraduate academic degree (bachelor’s degree) in engineering for SE position.

Experience and Skill Requirements:

No working experience is possible for junior position, but candidates with at least 2 years working experience are generally required.

Bachelor’s degree / diploma holder and minimum five (5) years of working experience can be considered for senior position.
