Job summary

SkyeChip Berhad in Penang, Malaysia, seeks an experienced SIPI Engineer to own high-speed interface performance from simulation to silicon. You will use tools like HyperLynx, Ansys SIwave and Cadence Sigrity to analyze crosstalk, reflection and impedance, and drive PDN optimization for robust power delivery.

You will collaborate with chip, package and board design teams, lead design reviews, root cause analyses and customer engagements.

Qualifications

• SIPI experience with signal integrity simulations and EM challenges.
• Ability to communicate technically with customers and internal teams.
• Bachelor degree in Electrical-Electronic Engineering.

Job description

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SIPI Engineer to own high-speed interface performance from simulation to silicon. In this customer-facing role, you will leverage tools like HyperLynx, Ansys SIwave, and Cadence Sigrity to conduct signal integrity analysis (crosstalk, reflection, impedance) and power integrity optimization (PDN analysis, decap selection). Collaborating closely with chip, package, and board design teams, you will drive design reviews, root cause analysis, and customer technical engagements. If you have 5–20 years of SIPI experience and a passion for solving complex electromagnetic challenges, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities

Signal Integrity

• SI simulation for high-speed interfaces


• Crosstalk, reflection, and impedance analysis


• Transmission line and stackup review

Power Integrity

• Power delivery network (PDN) analysis and optimisation


• Decoupling capacitor selection and validation


• PDN impedance measurement and simulation correlation

Tools & Methods

• Simulation tools: HyperLynx, Ansys SIwave, Cadence Sigrity , ADS , Hspice


• Lab equipment: TDR, VNA, oscilloscope


• S/Y/Z parameter and multi-port matrix analysis


• Works with chip, package, board design, and layout teams


• Supports customers on package/board design reviews and technical queries


• Participates in design reviews and root cause analysis

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical-Electronic Engineering


• 5–20 years SIPI experience including simulation experience


• Customer-facing technical communication ability
