Job summary

Altera in Penang is seeking a highly experienced Signal Integrity & Power Integrity (SI/PI) Engineer with 8+ years of industry experience to lead the design, verification, and optimization of high‑speed interconnects across silicon, IC package, and board‑level architectures.

You will deliver end‑to‑end SI/PI solutions for advanced IC packages, validation boards, and development kits, defining robust simulation methodologies and applying AI‑driven techniques to improve FPGA electrical performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in EE/CE with strong electromagnetics, circuit analysis, and signal processing.
• 10+ years hands-on SI/PI across silicon, package, and board designs.
• Expertise in high-speed interfaces, PDN behavior, and SI/PI fundamentals.
• Proficient with industry tools (HFSS, HSPICE, Sigrity, ADS) for modeling and extraction.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end SI/PI design for IC packages, boards, and development kits.
• Define SI/PI simulation methodologies and DOE during early exploration.
• Review layouts, perform post‑layout simulations, and improve design margins.
• Collaborate with silicon, package, and board teams to optimize performance and cost.
