Job summary

Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 23 kg, be literate, flexible for night/weekend shifts, compliant with local food laws and fluent in the local language, and articulate with guests.

Qualifications

• Physical strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg). This may involve bending and kneeling.
• Good reading, writing and basic maths skills.
• Night, weekend and holiday shifts are part of the job.
• Compliance with local laws on food handling and serving alcohol; fluent in the local language.
• Warm, welcoming and easy to talk to; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Make each meal a feast for the eyes and treat for the taste buds; maintain high standards.
• Own your kitchen – manage supplies and equipment; minimise waste.
• Report unsafe equipment, low supplies or safety incidents to supervisor.
• Adhere to safety procedures and wear protective equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness to meet local laws; keep the area spotless.
• Assist with washing up and other kitchen duties when needed.
• Assist guests with queries and advice to enhance their experience.
• Wear the uniform with pride.
• Take on ad-hoc duties as the team requires.
