Job summary

Ocean Network Express in Penang seeks a shipping sales professional to respond to spot rate enquiries, perform telemarketing for business expansion, and generate sales leads through chatter.

You will prepare onboarding info and manage contracts where no rate on file, liaise with internal teams and overseas colleagues to ensure prompt service requests and DG approval.

Diploma holders with 3+ years in shipping sales are welcome; fresh graduates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in shipping sales or an equivalent combination of other industry. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Spot Rate enquiries and perform telemarketing for business expansion - re target lost account.
• Generate and respond to Sales Leads through chatter.
• Prepare Customer Onboarding info & Contract maintenance: No Rate on File (NROF) management.
• Liaise internally with other depts and overseas teammates to provide prompt case management and respond to service requests and issue escalations. Follow up the DG approval for Import shipment.
• Guide Customers on digital tools and promoting E-commerce tools.
• Long stay container management.
• Verify shipper and consignee for both import and export and follow up the DG import approval with consignee.
• Receive and respond to Demurrage & Detention disputes due to vessel delay, roll over.
• Support Outdoor sales on customer retention and maintaining an account profile.
