Job summary

Hapag-Lloyd is seeking a Customer Service professional in Kuala Lumpur to handle customer calls, correspondence, and entry of service requests. You will coordinate with dispatch and FIS, supporting container releases and special equipment requests while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

The ideal candidate has a university degree or diploma with 1+ year in customer service, preferably in shipping/maritime, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• University degree or Diploma with 1 year and above of experience in Customer Service, preferably in Shipping/Maritime.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience in the Maritime Industry is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; able to communicate in English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Handle customer phone calls and correspondence.
• Act as entry point for Customer Service related queries.
• Process customer requests and update FIS with relevant details.
• Announce on-carriage to transport dispatch team upon customer request.
• Trigger full container releases in FIS upon request.
• Handle special equipment requests and verify transport exceptions.
• Bill additional costs/fees to customers where applicable.
• Handle re-export/return shipments.
• Propose actions to improve import efficiency; build expertise in CS topics.
• Follow standard processes and complete HIP training timely.
