Job summary

Sekoplas Industries Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Shipping Executive / Import & Export Documentation Executive / Senior Assistant to manage daily export/import shipments, prepare commercial and custom invoices, and liaise with customs authorities.

You will work closely with warehouse, production, finance and purchasing teams; ensure compliance with international and local regulations; handle MITI and customs forms; negotiate with service providers and monitor shipment status.

SHIPPING EXECUTIVE / IMPORT & EXPORT DOCUMENTATION EXECUTIVE / SENIOR ASSISTANT

This role involves managing daily operation activities for export and import shipments, including preparing commercial and custom invoices, liaising with customs authorities, and ensuring compliance with international and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

Prepare commercial and custom invoices for export and import shipments

Liaise with customs authorities to ensure compliance with export and import regulations

Ensure shipment operations comply with international and local laws, including safety and quality regulations

Stay updated on changes in trade regulations, import/export laws, and transportation guidelines

Handle and prepare MITI documents through system for export shipments

Complete custom forms (K1, K2, K9, etc.) and manage full sets of export and import shipping documents

Communicate with customers via email based on shipment orders

Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment

Monitor shipment and delivery status and follow up with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and logistics service providers

Negotiate with service providers to secure competitive rates and quality services

About you

Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with customs authorities and service providers

Knowledge of export and import regulations and documentation requirements

Experience with customs forms and shipping documents

Ability to work closely with warehouse, production, commercial sales, finance, and purchasing teams

Proactive approach to monitoring and follow-up activities

Capability to maintain vendor relationships and coordinate with internal staff
