Job summary

Tiong Nam Logistics seeks a logistics assistant to support daily operations including customs, dealer inquiries, and partner coordination. You will handle shipments across air, sea, and land, ensuring accurate documentation and timely execution.

The role requires a Diploma in Logistics with at least 1 year in logistics or supply chain, strong communication skills, and ability to work under pressure. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential.

Qualifications

Minimum Diploma holder with relevant course studies in Logistics, Supply Chain, or similar area.
At least 1 year of work experience in logistics/supply chain with basic understanding of operations, customer service and customs brokerage.
Automotive parts industry experience is an asset but not required.
Ability to work under pressure during peak periods.
Strong communication with multiple external stakeholders.
Bilingual in English and Bahasa Malaysia; knowledge of a third language is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide daily support to the logistics team in operations, customs brokerage, dealer inquiries, and liaising with logistics partners for shipments.
Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments via air, sea and land, including inventory management where applicable.
Review and audit customs declaration paperwork for accuracy and compliance with HS codes, SST and duties.
Attend to dealer inquiries nationwide and provide shipment support as needed.
Perform other duties as required.

To provide daily support to logistics team in areas of operations, customs brokerage, dealers’ enquiries (i.e. customer service) and liaising with logistics partners (i.e. for air sea & land shipments) to ensure shipment fulfilment.
To communicate and work closely with all of logistics partners for all inbound & outbound shipment arrangement via air, sea, or land & inventory management (if applicable). These may include daily shipment coordination, order drop, confirmation on logistics mode (i.e. air, courier or land) for certain shipment & etc.
To review and audit customs declaration paperwork prepared by logistics partners, particularly in areas of customs duty, SST, HS Code classification and overall accuracy of declarations, and to highlight any discrepancies.
To attend to enquiries from dealers nationwide (East & West M’sia) and assist to provide shipment support, where necessary.
Other responsibilities, as and when required.
