Job summary

Jdeprofessional is seeking a Safety, Health and Environment professional to lead the development and maintenance of a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. You will drive incident prevention, regulatory compliance, contractor safety, and continuous SHE improvement.

You will manage hazard identifications (HIRARC, JSA, CRA), lead incident investigations, maintain PTW and LOTO programs, and ensure audit-ready SHE documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or diploma in safety/engineering with 3–5 years SHE experience in manufacturing or related industry.
• Knowledge of Malaysia HSE legislation and regulatory bodies.
• Experience in safety inspections, audits, risk assessment and incident investigation.
• Experience liaising with DOSH, DOE, BOMBA and local authorities.
• Competent in PTW, LOTO, Confined Space, Hazardous Chemicals, Emergency Response, and contractor management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain hazard identification (HIRARC, JSA, CRA, Process Safety) for all areas.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA (Amendment) 2022, Factories & Machinery Act, and related regs.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, PPE audits, machine risk assessments, and safety walkdowns.
• Lead incident investigations using RCA, 5-Why, Fishbone and ensure CAPA closure.
• Manage PTW system for Hot Work, Confined Space, Electrical, Work at Height, and LOTO.
• Oversee chemical storage, SDS updates, chemical inventory and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain SHE documentation for audits, renewals, and submissions with regulators.
• Ensure contractor control through safety briefings and PTW compliance.
• Support process safety management for pressure systems, high temperatures, and dust control.
• Lead SHE campaigns and Kaizen activities and contribute to team building.
