We are looking for a Shared Service Procurement Manager to join our Procurement team in Malaysia and lead procurement operations, sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization. This role offers an opportunity to lead a cross-functional team and drive procurement improvements across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Shared Services Procurement team and ensure effective service delivery.
- Manage procurement activities including sourcing, quotations, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier coordination.
- Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
- Lead sourcing and negotiation activities to achieve cost savings and favorable commercial terms.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval processes, and internal controls.
- Monitor procurement spends, savings, purchasing trends, and key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Engineering, HR, IT, and other functions to understand and support their procurement requirements.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate purchases, improve purchasing efficiency, reduce costs, and standardize procurement processes.
- Lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives while resolving procurement, supplier, pricing, delivery, and invoice-related issues.
- Coach and develop procurement team members while preparing reports, analysis, and recommendations for management and supporting audit requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Min 7–10 years of relevant procurement or supply chain experience, including managerial or supervisory experience.
- Strong experience in sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, and procurement operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding of procurement policies, internal controls, and commercial practices.
- Ability to lead and develop a procurement team and work effectively with stakeholders across different functions and levels.
- Experience with ERP or procurement systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar systems.
