Job summary

KONE Malaysia is seeking a Service Technician to join the Service Maintenance team in Johor Bahru. You will attend fault calls, repair escalators and elevators, and service maintenance runs as part of a small Field Service group.

You’ll work with a global organization that supports career growth, promotions, and continuous development. Travel and a proactive service mindset are key to success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in elevator and escalator industry.
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Willingness to travel and possess own transport with a valid motorbike license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform lift maintenance, repairs, and installations with fellow technicians.
• Provide accurate, real-time reporting of work completed.
• Maintain excellent relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Manage daily workload with limited supervision and coach others as needed.

You will work in a small group of Field Service Specialists attending fault calls, completing escalator/elevator repairs, and servicing an allocated maintenance run. What will you be doing?

• Carry out any work that’s related to lift maintenance.
• Responsible for accurate and real-time back reporting of work performed to ensure accuracy of customer notification.
• Responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with customers.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and installation in collaboration with other Field Service Specialists.
• Manages daily workload with minimal assistance from Supervisor.
• Effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Ensure safety at all times.
• Depending on seniority, you may be required to give training/coaching to persons nominated by the supervisor.

Are you the one?

• 3-5 years’ experience in elevator and escalator industry.
• Have a basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Possesses a service mindset.
• Willing to travel.
• Possesses own transport and valid motorbike license.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Have a basis digital foundation skill to use KONE system and application via mobile phone for work purpose.
