Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar technical service role in kitchen equipment or hospitality.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Valid driving licence and reliable transport to travel between client locations.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and diagnose/repair kitchen equipment faults at client locations.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and operational issues using diagnostic tools.
• Replace faulty components and document all work including parts used and issues resolved.
• Communicate clearly with customers on issues found, repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
• Maintain a fully stocked service vehicle and adhere to safety standards.

About the role

Chefonic Kitchen Equipment Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of our service operations, based in Balakong, Selangor. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing kitchen equipment at client locations. This role is crucial to ensuring our customers receive prompt, professional support and that their kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will work both independently and as part of a team to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and provide exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to service calls and attend client locations to diagnose and repair kitchen equipment faults
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing on various kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and operational issues using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge
• Replace faulty components, parts, and accessories as required
• Document all work completed, including parts used, time spent, and issues resolved
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues found, repairs undertaken, and maintenance recommendations
• Maintain a fully stocked service vehicle with necessary tools, equipment, and spare parts
• Adhere to health and safety standards and company policies during all service visits
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
• Keep up-to-date with new kitchen equipment models and technical developments within the industry

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar technical service role, ideally within the kitchen equipment or hospitality industry
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment
• A valid driving licence and reliable transport to travel between client locations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical clients
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively whilst meeting service schedules
• Physical fitness and capability to lift heavy equipment and work in various kitchen environments
• Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to safety standards
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in equipment servicing (preferred)
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment brands and models commonly used in Malaysia (advantageous)
