Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Service Engineer specialized in Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS). Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering with at least 3 years in onsite services.
• EMS, BMS, Power Monitoring or SCADA knowledge and project delivery experience.
• Field device protocols: Modbus, SNMP, BACnet, LonWorks, IEC61850; IT/network basics.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site or remote technical support for BMS and EPMS installations.
• Lead commissioning, testing, maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineers, sub-contractors and sales teams to deliver solutions.
• Identify gaps in technical and digital skills and guide improvements.
• Prepare Operation & Maintenance manuals and repair reports.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer (Building Management System/Electrical Power Monitoring System)to join our team and make a significant impact. In this role, you will work independently to determine methods and procedures for assignments, supervise and collaborate with engineers and sub-contractors, and serve as a validated Level 2 expert on select product ranges. The position involves applying technical experience and diagnostics for on-site project management, identifying gaps in technical and digital tool skills within the organization, and resolving technical issues raised by other engineers, escalating to higher technical support levels when necessary.

What will you do?

• Work independently to determine methods and procedures on assignments.
• Supervise and work together with other engineers and sub-contractors or assigned mission.
• Validate as L2 expert on few products ranges (for his country and the zone)
• Demonstrate applied technical experience and diagnostic for on-site project management across BU He will also highlight technical and digital tools skills missing in his organization.
• As Technical Support Level 2, you will have to solve technical issues raised by other Engineers ensuring perfect technical solution and if needed refers to higher technical support level within the company (Tech Support L3, Technical Antenna, R&D department…)

Activities & Area of Responsibility

Perform on-site or remote technical support during new installation, testing and commissioning, maintenance services, repairs and upgrading, focusing onBuilding Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS).

This is a hybrid role where both subject matters focus on Critical Buildings applications.

Work collaboratively with critical stakeholders including Team Members, Project Engineers, Service Sales engineer, Solution / Tendering Team, and Regional Project team, in identifying new opportunities and delivering comprehensive solutions to customers.

Experience from Building Management System or Electrical Power Monitoring System with knowledge of Modbus, BACnet, LonWork, SNMP, IEC61850, and basic networking.

Programming, commissioning of DDC / IO Controller, Application Server for monitoring / control, and Digital Power Meters.

Experience with logical knowledge in ACMV or HVAC system control logic.

Experience with Power Monitoring aspect including ability to understand electrical single line diagram, and critical building electrical system requirement. Fundamental electrical knowledge is a must.

Be a part of site safety and health inspection to identify potential hazards for safe working environment.

Preparation of documents not limited to Operation & Maintenance Manual, Method of Statements, and repair work reports.

When at customer site, look for other business opportunities outside current scope of work and lead them to the sales team.

Willing to learn new skills focusing on Software Services solution and IOT offers by Schneider Electric.

What qualifications will make you successful?

Degree in Electrical or Communication Engineering with at least 3 years in services onsite environment.

EMS, BMS, Power Monitoring or SCADA system knowledge, project implementation, testing & commissioning experience.

Field device communication protocol knowledge (Modbus, SNMP, BACnet, LonWork, ION, KNX, IEC61850) in Critical Buildings.

Network and Basic IT (operating system, etc) knowledge experience is a must.

Schneider Electric BMS, Power Monitoring Expert or Power Scada Operation knowledge is an added advantage.

Experience with ELV site work (hands‑on) is a bonus.

Able to work 90% time onsite and travel across the country.
