Job summary

MNG Global Resources Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a motivated Service Engineer (Hydraulic) to join our growing service team in Malaysia.

You will support repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of hydraulic systems used in skylifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, truck-mounted equipment, forklifts, and other industrial machinery. The role includes preparing repair cost estimates, technical proposals, SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance procedures to ensure efficient service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• 1–2 years experience in hydraulic systems or field service is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, schematics, and drawings.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and technical report writing skills.
• Willing to travel throughout Malaysia for onsite service work.
• Valid Malaysian driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical faults.
• Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, overhaul, and commissioning of hydraulic equipment.
• Assist in servicing hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, hoses, filters, manifolds, and hydraulic power units.
• Conduct pressure testing, functional testing, and equipment performance verification.
• Prepare service reports and technical recommendations after each service activity.
• Provide onsite technical support for preventive maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
• Assist in supervising technicians during service and installation works.
• Ensure all service work complies with company safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain spare part pricing and technical information.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, WI, and maintenance procedures.
• Develop maintenance schedules and equipment inspection procedures.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of hydraulic systems used in skylifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, truck-mounted equipment, forklifts, and other industrial machinery.

Technical Service

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical faults.
• Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, overhaul, and commissioning of hydraulic equipment.
• Assist in servicing hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, hoses, filters, manifolds, and hydraulic power units.

• Prepare repair cost estimates, including labour, spare parts, machining, transportation, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare service quotations and preventive maintenance proposals.
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain spare part pricing and technical information.
• Monitor repair costs and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for servicing, troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and commissioning.
• Prepare Work Instructions (WI), preventive maintenance procedures, inspection checklists, and service manuals.
• Develop maintenance schedules and equipment inspection procedures.
• Maintain proper service records and technical documentation.
• Continuously improve service procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Project & Customer Support

• Coordinate service schedules with customers and internal teams.
• Assist in project planning, installation, testing, commissioning, and equipment handover.
• Attend customer meetings and provide technical support when required.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, refurbishment, or maintenance services.
• Build and maintain good relationships with customers.

Health, Safety & Quality

• Follow company Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies at all times.
• Conduct risk assessments before service activities.
• Ensure all work complies with company procedures and customer requirements.
• Promote continuous improvement in safety, quality, and service performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in hydraulic systems, heavy equipment, industrial maintenance, or field service will have an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, hoses, and hydraulic circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and technical report writing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage.
• Willing to learn and take on new challenges.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel throughout Malaysia for onsite service work.
• Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence (preferred).
