Job summary

The Service Engineer will install, commission, and maintain complex HVAC and detection & measurement systems at client sites in Kuala Lumpur, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of infrastructure products.

You will perform diagnostics, calibration, and troubleshooting using manufacturer specifications, generate service reports, and train clients on operation and safety, with travel to sites and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering.
• 3–5 years of proven field service experience with industrial HVAC or detection equipment.
• Willingness to travel extensively and possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and validation of complex HVAC systems, including chillers, VRF, AHUs.
• Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on detection and measurement equipment, ensuring peak operational efficiency.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software faults using diagnostic tools and schematics.
• Calibrate, test, and adjust sensors and control systems to meet ISO/IEC 17025 and F-Gas regulations where applicable.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Generate detailed service reports and fault analyses, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and client site requirements.

Job Summary

The Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex HVAC and detection & measurement systems. This role ensures optimal performance and reliability of our client's infrastructure products through expert field service and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and validation of complex HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handling units, and precision environmental controls.
• Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on detection and measurement equipment such as gas detectors, flow meters, and analytical instruments, ensuring peak operational efficiency and compliance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot intricate electrical, mechanical, and software-related faults using specialized diagnostic tools, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct precise calibration, testing, and adjustment of sensors and control systems to meet stringent industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025, F-Gas regulations where applicable).
• Provide comprehensive technical support and training to clients on equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and safety protocols.
• Generate detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and fault analyses, ensuring accurate record-keeping and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, company policies, and client site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of proven field service experience with industrial HVAC systems (e.g., chillers, VRF, AHUs) or detection and measurement equipment (e.g., gas detectors, flow meters, analytical instrumentation).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, a methodical approach to fault finding, and the ability to work independently in challenging environments.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong client relationships and providing clear technical explanations.
• Willingness to travel extensively to client sites, often at short notice, and possess a valid driver's license.
