Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Penta Consultancy Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a seasoned Field Service Engineer to install, commission, and service equipment at customer sites in Malaysia and beyond.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems while ensuring uptime and customer satisfaction. The role requires reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, strong English communication, and the ability to travel domestically, regionally, and internationally.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years hands-on Field Service experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, and testing of equipment and systems at customer sites.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting, repair, and emergency service support to ensure equipment uptime and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with company standards and service schedules.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical issues efficiently.
• Train customers' operational personnel on the proper use of equipment and systems.
• Train customers' technical teams on equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
• Prepare and maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
• Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors or installation teams when required.
• Support sales teams by providing technical expertise and assistance during customer engagements.
• Participate in equipment demonstrations, trade shows, exhibitions, and other company events when required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Maintain effective communication with internal teams and management regarding technical issues, customer feedback, and project updates.
• Continuously update technical knowledge and stay informed on new products, technologies, and industry developments.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, or similar technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and electrical schematics.
• Proven troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically, regionally, and internationally as required.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
