Job description


  • Carry out service, maintenance, commissioning, overhaul, trouble-shooting, installation, warranty repair and any other specialist service on the complete range of JCI and other manufactures Process and Industrial refrigeration equipment.

  • Carry out comprehensive plant audit for Industrial and Process refrigeration systems and write detailed report explaining the plant condition, observations and recommendations

  • Travel throughout the South East Asia and other regions shore and off shore as required by the business in order to service the customer base

  • Carry our service work to the highest possible standard in line with JCI policy & procedures and industry recognised best practices.

  • Ensure service work is completed safely and efficiently at all times with minimum call back and warranty expense

  • Ensure service reports are completed fully and to a good standard on completion of each service order or in cases where the duration of the work is in excess of one week, service reports must be submitted on a weekly basis

  • During your day to day work in the field, actively identify and promote new/additional services, parts and products to our customers and feedback either verbally or via your service report of potential opportunities to the relevant person in the service office

  • Supervise subcontractors working on behalf of JCI

  • As Sr. Engineer ensure that experience is passed on to the rest of the FLSP team through mentoring and training.

  • Maintain service vehicle and any other tools and/or equipment assigned to you in good condition

  • Ensure the continued and sustainable growth of our maintenance base through customer relationship building with new and existing customers

  • Ensure the highest standard of safety are maintained at any job site at all time including but not limited to JCI staff.

  • Perform any other duties from time to time, whether ad-hoc or otherwise, as assigned by your superior or management

  • Perform comprehensive installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heating systems, refrigeration units, and ventilation systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

  • Conduct detailed inspections and diagnostics of HVAC systems to assess operational efficiency, identify potential problems, and implement corrective actions to mitigate downtime.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and control system failures, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.

  • Execute routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters, coils, and fans, as well as checking refrigerant levels and electrical connections to enhance system longevity and performance.

  • Provide expert recommendations to clients for system upgrades, repairs, and energy efficiency improvements, ensuring customer understanding of system functionalities and benefits.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during installation and service operations to ensure a safe working environment for both the technician and the customer.

  • Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, delivering timely and effective resolutions to HVAC-related issues while maintaining high levels of customer service.

  • Keep accurate and detailed records of service activities, including specifics of repairs performed, parts utilized, and time spent on each job for billing and tracking purposes.

  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a collaborative and skilled team environment.

  • Collaborate closely with sales and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery and to identify opportunities for enhancing customer satisfaction.
