Job summary

PPG’s Service Desk Development program focuses on bringing career-focused individuals into the Global IT organization with the primary goals of developing future IT leaders. The program gives new hires the ability to work with all PPG's employees as part of our 24x7x365 Service Desk, and new hires will use ITIL methodology.

You will engage in incident, problem and knowledge center support, receive on-the-job and corporate training, and have opportunities to grow into other IT roles while working

Qualifications

• Willingness to work in a 24x7x365 environment.
• Proficient verbal and written English; Mandarin a plus.
• Enthusiastic to learn PPG's IT environment.
• Plan to develop into other roles from Service Desk.
• Remote (work-from-home) position.

Responsibilities

The Service Desk Development program focuses on bringing career-focused individuals into the Global IT organization with the primary goals of developing future IT leaders. The program gives new hires the ability to work with all of PPG's employees as part of our 24x7x365 Service Desk. New hires will use the ITIL methodology.

Main Responsibilities

• Utilize the ITIL methodology best practices of Incident, Problem and Knowledge Center support as they provide customers with support about IT services.
• Identify, research, and resolve technical problems
• Handle incoming telephone calls, online chats, and emails for technical support
• Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure resolutions for customer
• Participants will be able to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to help users and will receive on-the-job training, corporate training, and individualized training to help you grow personally and professionally.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work in a 24x7x365 environment
• Proficient verbal and written English skills (Fluency in Mandarin a plus)
• Enthusiastic to learn PPG's IT environment
• Succeed in the SD role while engaging interest to develop into other roles.
• Work in a fully remote (work-from-home) position
