Job summary

Habib Group in Malaysia is seeking a Barista to greet customers and take orders, preparing and serving beverages from standard coffees to specialty drinks. You will promote menu options and help grow the customer base while maintaining a clean, organized station.

The role requires teamwork, enthusiasm, and flexibility to work shifts including weekends and public holidays, with training provided for fresh graduates.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Barista/café experience is an advantage; training provided, fresh graduates welcome.
• Strong knowledge in retail management, sales, marketing and customer services.
• Good command of English and Malay; other languages a plus.
• Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a service mindset.
• Able to work in a team and on shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders.

Preparing and serving beverages for Barista role, ranging from simple to elaborate ones such as specialty coffee.

Promoting and recommending menu options to customers.

Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairs.

Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized.

Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service.

Working to attract new customers and expanding the menu.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent.
• Previous barista or café experience is an advantage, but training will be provided Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply too.
• Strong business knowledge in retail management, sales and marketing and customer services.
• Good command of verbal and written English and Malay languages, ability to speak additional languages will be an added advantage.
• Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.
• Able to work as a team.
• Must be willing to work on shifts (retail hours) / weekends and public holidays.
