Job Purpose
The Service Crew is responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service while supporting the daily operations of the outlet. The role includes customer service, order taking, food and beverage serving, cashier duties where assigned, outlet cleanliness, food safety and hygiene compliance, and other operational duties required to ensure smooth outlet operations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, polite and professional manner.
- Take customer orders accurately and confirm orders when necessary.
- Serve food and beverages according to the company's service standards.
- Respond appropriately to customer enquiries and requests.
- Handle basic customer feedback professionally and refer complaints to the Senior Service Crew, Supervisor or Manager when necessary.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude when dealing with customers.
Outlet Operations
- Carry out opening, operating and closing duties according to the assigned shift.
- Prepare the service area before operations.
- Ensure tables, chairs, counters and customer areas are properly arranged.
- Assist with packing takeaway and delivery orders.
- Refill condiments, utensils, packaging and other service items.
- Assist with stock arrangement and replenishment when required.
- Perform other outlet operational duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
- Operate the POS/cashier system when assigned and properly trained.
- Ensure orders are entered accurately.
- Handle cash, card and other approved payment methods according to company procedures.
- Immediately report payment, POS or cash discrepancies to the person in charge.
- Do not provide unauthorized discounts, complimentary items, refunds or void transactions.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
- Comply with all company food safety, hygiene, Halal and operational SOPs applicable to the outlet.
- Follow proper handwashing and food-handling practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, counters, floors, service stations and other assigned areas.
- Carry out cleaning and sanitation duties according to the outlet schedule.
- Properly dispose of rubbish and maintain waste areas.
- Immediately report pest, contamination, damaged equipment, food-quality or hygiene concerns.
Teamwork
- Work cooperatively with kitchen, service, cashier and other outlet team members.
- Assist colleagues during peak periods where required.
- Follow instructions from the person in charge of the shift.
- Communicate operational issues promptly to the Senior Service Crew, Supervisor or Manager.
- Participate in briefings, training and meetings when required.
Attendance & Discipline
- Report for duty according to the approved roster.
- Be punctual and ready to commence work at the scheduled time.
- Follow company procedures for attendance, leave and absence notification.
- Wear the required uniform, name tag and other required items while on duty.
- Follow company rules, policies, SOPs and reasonable instructions from management.
- Protect company property, confidential information and customer information.
Job Requirements
- Minimum SPM or equivalent is preferred.
- Fresh graduates / candidates without F&B experience may be considered.
- Previous F&B, retail or customer-service experience is an advantage.
- Able to communicate appropriately with customers and colleagues.
- Willing to learn and follow instructions and SOPs.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Willing to perform cleaning and general outlet duties.
- Able to work according to roster requirements, including weekends and public holidays where scheduled.
- Must comply with applicable food-handler, typhoid vaccination and other regulatory requirements.

Authority Level
The Service Crew does not have authority to independently approve refunds, discounts, complimentary items, staff disciplinary action, roster changes, stock adjustments or other management decisions unless specifically authorized.
Any unusual customer, operational, safety, cash, staff or compliance matter must be referred to the person in charge.
