Job summary

UHP Gas Sys Technology Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Senior Welding Engineer to develop and maintain welding procedures and oversee fabrication welding activities. The role ensures compliance with industry standards and maintains welding quality across projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Mechanical or Welding Engineering, at least 3 years of relevant welding experience, and an active AWS-CWI certification. Strong knowledge of WPS/PQR/WQT and welding documentation is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Welding, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant welding engineering or fabrication experience.
• Must hold an active AWS-CWI certification.
• Strong knowledge of WPS, PQR, WQT, and welding documentation.
• Familiarity with ASME, AWS, ISO, SEMI, and customer welding standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WPS, PQR, and WQT documentation.
• Select appropriate welding processes, consumables, and parameters.
• Supervise welding activities and ensure compliance with approved procedures.
• Conduct Welder Qualification Tests (WQT) and maintain qualification records.
• Perform visual weld inspections and support quality inspections.
• Maintain welding documentation, including weld maps and inspection reports.
• Investigate welding defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Optimize welding processes to improve quality and productivity.
• Coordinate with customers, inspectors, and certification bodies as required.
