Job summary

Wipro is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to oversee VMware platforms (vSphere/ESXi/vCenter) and multi-layer infra operations. You will manage provisioning, performance tuning, patching, and complex incidents while aligning with DR plans and backup validation.

Responsibilities include collaboration across L3 teams, automation initiatives, and maintaining runbooks and SOPs to ensure high availability and efficient incident response.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on VMware platform operations and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with high-availability, clustering, and storage concepts.
• Ability to analyze incidents and drive permanent fixes across layers.

Responsibilities

• Act as single point of contact for Site/Infra and incident management.
• Lead VMware platform operations including provisioning, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Handle complex incidents (P1/P2) and drive RCA and fixes across infra layers.
• Support DR activities, failover testing, and backup validation.
• Contribute to automation and monitoring optimization initiatives.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation.
