Job summary

The Access Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Platform Engineer to maintain a global VMware-based infrastructure. You will administer ESXi/vCenter, NSX-T, and related components, ensuring availability, security, and cost efficiency while collaborating with local and global teams.

You will patch and upgrade, manage storage and networking (SAN/NAS, vSAN), handle ITIL processes, and document runbooks and reports. Rotation shift schedule with some remote work flexibility, serving 24x7 operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a VMware platform engineering or infrastructure operations role.
• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere (ESXi), vCenter, and VM management.
• Experience with NSX-T for software-defined networking.
• Familiarity with vROps and network visibility tools.
• Experience with storage platforms (NetApp, Pure) and VMware integration.
• Scripting or automation experience (PowerCLI, Python, Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain VMware vSphere environments including ESXi and vCenter.
• Patch and upgrade ESXi, vCenter, and NSX-T per change processes.
• Configure and manage storage and networking within the VMware environment.
• Handle ITIL processes: incidents, changes, and documentation.
