Maersk in Shah Alam, Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Commercial, Pricing and Tender Manager to lead pricing, bids, and supplier negotiations for trucking, linehaul, distribution, and cross-border transport.

The role collaborates with BD, Operations, Finance, and Solution Design to craft competitive proposals, monitor profitability, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations Management, Transportation, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience in transport costing, rate negotiation, RFQ or tender preparation, customer proposals, vendor sourcing, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization or reporting tools.
• Sound knowledge of domestic and cross-border transportation, transport regulations, and safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Prepare transport quotations, pricing models, rate cards, and customer proposals for trucking, linehaul, distribution, cross-border, last-mile, shunting, and other transport solutions.
• Review customer RFQs and tenders, clarify commercial requirements, coordinate inputs, and ensure submissions are accurate and timely.
• Develop detailed cost models covering vehicle, driver, fuel, toll, maintenance, permits, and other charges.
• Ensure proposed rates meet margin targets while remaining competitive and sustainable.
• Conduct market benchmarking and recommend pricing revisions based on costs and market conditions.
• Maintain pricing files, rate cards, quotation records, and commercial approval documentation.
• Support Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Solution Design in proposals and negotiations.
• Monitor account profitability and recommend corrective actions or rate adjustments when required.
• Negotiate vendor rates and terms; manage vendor onboarding, renewals, and offboarding.
• Review transporter invoices against approved rates and resolve discrepancies.
• Track vendor KPIs and coordinate monthly/quarterly business reviews.
