Job summary

ams OSRAM Group is seeking a Senior Technician in Process Engineering (Test & Maintenance) to provide technical troubleshooting and repair support for test systems and wafer probing equipment at our Malaysia site. You will identify root causes, perform corrective actions, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or test & inspection engineering.
• Willing to work in rotational shifts.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Melayu (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair support for test systems and wafer probing equipment.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to restore functionality.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and follow standard maintenance procedures and safety guidelines.
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts and maintenance materials and monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and update logs, checklists, and reports in a timely manner.
• Assist Process/Test Engineers in equipment evaluation, setup, and qualification activities and support experiments, data collection, and validation during process improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

Candidate must have at least a Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or test & inspection engineering is needed for this position.

Willing to work in rotational shifts.

Fluent in English and Bahasa Melayu in both verbal and written.
