Job summary

Armstrong Electronics Sdn Bhd is seeking a Diploma- or certificate-holding technician to help engineers investigate defects and improve manufacturing processes. You will prepare samples, perform inspections and basic testing, and keep detailed records to support reliable findings.

You will work with Engineering, Quality and Production teams; familiarity with ISO 13485 is a plus, and experience with AI tools is welcome.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or related field.
• Around three years in manufacturing, inspection, testing, process support or failure analysis; fresh diploma holders with training welcome.
• Ability to follow test methods, control plans and work instructions; take measurements and document findings carefully.
• Comfort working with Engineering, Quality and Production; ISO 13485 experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Job description

Key responsibilities

Prepare and track samples for failure analysis while maintaining identification and traceability.

Carry out visual inspection, dimensional checks, basic testing and equipment assisted analysis under engineering guidance.

Record test conditions, measurements, observations and photographs accurately.

Support defect verification, root cause investigations, process trials and checks of corrective actions.

Maintain gauges, fixtures, tools, test equipment, calibration status and consumables; flag repeated defects or equipment and safety issues promptly.

Follow work instructions, quality procedures and confidentiality requirements.

About you

Diploma or certificate in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or a related technical field.

Ideally around three years in manufacturing, inspection, testing, process support or failure analysis. Fresh diploma holders with relevant practical training are also welcome to apply.

Ability to follow test methods, control plans and work instructions; take measurements and document findings carefully.

Comfort working with Engineering, Quality and Production. Medical device or ISO 13485 experience is an advantage.

Experience using AI tools or agents at work is an advantage, but is not required.
