Job summary

Cohesity Inc. in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join our global support organization. You will work with customers to resolve complex technical issues, collaborate with engineering and account management, and contribute to knowledge base development.

The role requires deep Linux and storage fundamentals, strong diagnostics, and excellent communication. You will mentor teammates, help deliver reusable self-service solutions, and advocate for the best customer

Qualifications

• 3-12 years of experience in storage, networking and virtualization environments.
• Strong understanding of Linux and administration across all components.
• Ability to analyze system diagnostics and clearly articulate issues to customers.
• Familiarity with Linux debugging utilities like systemtap, tcpdump, wireshark, gdb, crash.

Responsibilities

• Work with Cohesity customers to provide timely resolution to technical issues.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues using available tools.
• Record customer interactions, investigations and resolutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and account management teams.
• Demonstrate judgment in selecting methods for solutions.
• Provide excellent customer experience and timely issue resolution.
• Help develop comprehensive and reusable self-service solutions.
• Develop knowledge base articles.
• Mentor other engineers.
