Job summary

Novonesis is seeking a Senior Technical Service Associate in Household Care to join our Technical Service and Application Science team. You will combine scientific expertise, customer focus, and laboratory leadership to develop and optimize formulations, solve complex technical challenges, and deliver impactful solutions for customers.

You’ll independently design experiments, lead investigations, plan evaluations, interpret data, and collaborate with commercial and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 5-7 years of industry or laboratory experience.
• Experience in household care, detergents, personal care, formulation chemistry, enzymes.
• Strong knowledge of formulation chemistry, surfactant systems, stability and analytical methods.
• Familiarity with GLP and EHS standards; SOP compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, run, and analyze lab experiments to develop formulations.
• Lead technical investigations and troubleshoot formulation challenges.
• Plan and deliver performance evaluations, demonstrations, and studies.
• Interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Support projects with reliable technical execution and quality.
• Improve lab methods and workflows for efficiency and data quality.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GLP, and EHS standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior colleagues.
