Novonesis seeks a Senior Technical Service Associate for Household Care to design and optimize enzyme-based formulations, lead technical studies, and deliver practical solutions for customers and partners.

The role combines science, customer focus, and laboratory leadership to improve products, support cross-functional teams, and drive innovation in household care applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related scientific discipline.
• 5-7 years of relevant industry or laboratory experience.
• Experience in household care, detergents, personal care, enzymes.
• Strong knowledge of analytical methods and experimental design.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze lab experiments to develop formulations.
• Lead investigations and troubleshoot formulation, stability, and performance challenges.
• Plan and deliver performance evaluations and technical studies related to enzymes and actives.
• Interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Support projects with reliable technical execution aligned with objectives.
• Improve laboratory methods, protocols, and workflows for efficiency and data quality.
• Ensure SOP, GLP, EHS compliance and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support innovation and customer success.
• Coach junior colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Service Associate, Household Care to join our Technical Service and Application Science team. In this role, you will combine scientific expertise, customer focus, and laboratory leadership to develop and optimize formulations, solve complex technical challenges, and deliver impactful solutions for our customers and business partners.

The Role & Your Impact

• Independently designing, executing, and analyzing laboratory experiments to develop, optimize, and validate household care formulations and application concepts.
• Leading technical investigations and troubleshooting formulation, stability, compatibility, and performance challenges.
• Planning and delivering performance evaluations, demonstrations, and technical studies related to enzymes and active ingredients.
• Interpreting experimental data and translating findings into actionable recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Supporting Household Care projects through reliable technical execution aligned with business and project objectives.
• Improving laboratory methods, protocols, and workflows to enhance efficiency and data quality.
• Ensuring laboratory operations comply with SOPs, GLP, EHS requirements, and relevant quality standards.
• Collaborating with technical, commercial, and cross-functional teams to support innovation and customer success.
• Coaching junior colleagues and contributing to knowledge sharing and capability building within the team.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• 5-7 years of relevant industry or laboratory experience.
• Experience in household care, detergents, personal care, formulation chemistry, enzymes, or related application areas.
• Strong knowledge of formulation chemistry, surfactant systems, stability assessment, performance testing, analytical methods, and experimental design.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues, analyze complex data, and develop practical solutions.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, SOPs, GLP requirements, and EHS standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
