Job summary

Sierra Solar, a subsidiary of ERS Energy Group, is seeking a Technical Solutions Senior Manager for rooftop solar and battery storage. Based in Kuala Lumpur with regional site travel, you will be the technical authority, resolving complex on-site issues and advising sales, design and project teams on optimal solutions.

You will lead power quality investigations, coordinate with OEMs, review designs, support commissioning, and build technical standards.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of solar PV experience with commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Experience with factory/industrial electrical systems incl. power factor and max demand.
• Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory/grid requirements preferred.
• Ability to work on rooftops and in the field with safety emphasis.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia, occasional regional travel.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve on-site issues for rooftop solar and hybrid systems.
• Lead power quality studies and advise on fixes (APFC, harmonic filters, etc.).
• Assess interactions between inverters and factory equipment.
• Lead root-cause analysis and provide permanent fixes.
• Act as main technical contact for OEMs and suppliers; manage RMA.
• Review designs and single-line diagrams with design team.
• Support pre-sales with technical input and site assessments.
• Support commissioning and grid interconnection requirements.
• Develop technical standards, checklists and lessons learned.
• Train site teams and contractors on installation quality.
